One of our very favourite drinking games of all time.

How to Play

The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards as quickly as possible. Players sit in a circle, and an entire deck of cards is dealt out evenly to each player; multiple decks may be required depending on number of players.

The player to the left of the dealer goes first. This player must place one or more Aces face down on the table, stating how many cards they are putting down (e.g. “One Ace!”). The next player must play 2’s, the next player must play 3’s, etc. until Kings are played, at which point it starts over again at Ace.

However, if a player does not have the required card that they must play, they still have to play at least one card, so must place down a card of a different denomination and lie about what they are putting down. The trick is to play the bluff card and declare it so that the other players believe you. If any player believes that another player did not play the correct denomination of card, they shout “Bullshit!” and must check what that player played.

If the person declaring Bullshit! is right, the bluffer must drink an amount proportional to the number of cards in the stack; lots of cards already played = lots of drinks AND they must pick up all the cards. However, if they were honest in their play and someone says “Bullshit!” that person ends up drinking the prescribed amount, and getting the cards.

Any form of cheating goes: cards up the sleeve, slipping in more cards than you declare, etc. However, any of these infractions are punishable offenses, so if you are caught, you must pick up all the cards and take a drink.

Play continues around the circle until someone runs out of cards. This person is the winner, all other players are the losers and must chug the rest of their drink. If you so choose, play could continue down to the last two players.
